FSC® stands for the Forest Stewardship Council® — a global forest certification system co-founded by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Trees in FSC®-certified forests are grown and harvested according to a strict set of guidelines that benefit the environment. These guidelines include, but are not limited to:– Limiting the number of trees cut down – Restricting highly hazardous pesticides – Protecting indigenous people as well as wildlife habitatsFSC® is a global forest certification system with two key components:
● Forest Management — relevant to forest owners and managers● Chain of Custody — applies to manufacturers, processors and traders of FSC-certified products
